outhwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) cross country Texas Lutheran University

SAGU’s Jerry Nava was the first to make it to the finish line.  He crossed it at 16:28.47, which is a personal record for Nava.  Freshman Cody Walker finished in second place at 16:45.72, while sophomore Adrian Cedillo finished fourth at 16:47.34.  Senior Jose Compos and Raul Olmos rounded out the top 10 for the Lions.

Destiny Garza continued to dominate, finishing first with a time of 19:04.56.  Her second place finisher came in at 20:45.69.  SAGU’s Genny McCullough finished sixth at 23:01.15.  Freshman Caitlin Cruz finished eight at 24:09.26 and freshman Kelia Padilla finished 10 th .

Along with the dual, SAGU hosted over a dozen area high schools.  There was a junior varsity and varsity division for men and women.

Next up for the SAGU cross country team is a trip to Florida.  The Lions and Lady Lions will run the Disney Classic in Orland on October 8, 2016.
