Covarrubias’ Corner

  • “It was a very hot day. The competition was good. We were put in the second race when it really started to warm up and our women ran after the men when it was even warmer. Overall I think we did well, some areas we got exposed in, and some areas we got better. We tightened up our top three. We need to tighten up 4 and 5 if we want to get better than what we currently are. Our women ran tough. Skyla Mackey became only the second women’s runner in SAGU cross country to qualify for the NCCAA Nationals as an individual. The men’s team qualified as a team.”
