In the men’s 8K, SAGU’s Jerry Nava finished in 21 st place out of 182 runners in the 8K.  He crossed the finish line at 26:32. Adrian Cedillo finished in 28:10, followed by Jose Campos (28:17) and Cody Walker (28:22).

Compared to other SAC runners, Nava would have placed sixth in the meet.

The Lady Lions didn’t have enough for a full team at the meet; however, SAGU was represented well. Destiny Garza finished 13 th with a time of 18:51.  Only seven SAC runners finished before her. Caitlin Cruz and finished at 22:05 with Genny McCullough right behind 22:06.

The cross country team will have two weeks of rest and training before the biggest meet to date, the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships .  The meet will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
