Lions Review

  • The first set was a carbon copy of what SAGU and MACU managed to do in the two previous meetings during the regular season. It was a back and forth set, but SAGU pulled it out 25-23
  • After falling down two sets MACU had their back against the wall and knew their season was on the line. They responded unlike the regular-season meetings and pushed the match into a fourth set.
  • The fourth set featured the tensest moments of the match as the two teams went toe to toe. The crowd roared with each point scored. The Lions fell as they were outhit by MACU .250 to .180.
  • The fifth and final set featured nearly identical stats in kills, errors, and total attempts, but the Lions were slightly more efficient as they hit .211 compared to just .150 by MACU who seemed to run out of gas with the match hanging in the balance.
