The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) basketball teams swept Central Christian College in Kansas to start the last regular season road of the 2018-2019 season. The Lady Lions beat the Tigers 91-82 for their 19th win of the season; they stay put in 3rd place in the Sooner Athletic Conference with three games left in the regular season. The men held CCC to less than 30 points in the second half which was key to their 89-73 victory; they now sit in sole possession of 6th in the SAC.

Lexi Rich had her fifth 30 point game of the season as she connected on five threes and went 11-14 from the free-throw line; she finished with six assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Kiara Glenn filled the stat sheet with 19 points, five rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and one steal. Jenna Price contributed another double-double for the Lady Lions going four of seven from the field for 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sydney Meador and Mckenzie Martin both had eight points each in their win.

The men had five players in double-digits behind this victory; Nyk Mason (20), Josh Kashila (17), Cameron Hill (16), Cameron McGee (12), and Boaz Williams (10 ). Mason had a near triple-double with 10 points, six assists, one block, and one steal. Darian Davis contributed seven points, 10 rebounds, and led the Lions in steals with two. SAGU won the rebounding battle, had more assists, blocks, and steals in the 40 minutes of play.

Both teams will play at Langston University on Saturday, 2/16 with a 2 pm women start and 4 pm men’s tipoff.
