Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) athletics program received the Silver Level Distinction from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) for the 2016-2017 athletic season. The NAIA awards members based off the NAIA’s five core characteristics: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
The NAIA uses a scorecard to measure character-driven athletics and SAGU earned the Five-Star Institution Award Silver level distinction scoring between 75-89 points out of 100.
NAIA Institutions receiving recognition included 183 universities, 66 gold level winners, 76 silver level winners, and 41 bronze level winners. Congratulations to all of the SAGU athletes on this honor.
