Oklahoma City, OK- The Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) announced their Week 13 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday. Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) guard Lexi Rich ( SR/San Antonio, TX ) earned the honor with her stellar play the week of February 10-16 th .

How She Did It

  • In the game against Mid-American Christian University (MACU) Rich had an offensive explosion. She led the Lady Lions to a win with 38 points 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Rich shot 12-of-27 from the field including 7 three-pointers and an almost perfect 7-8 from the free-throw line.
  • Rich wasn’t done as the Lions switched gears for a road battle with the University of Science & Arts (Okla.) (USAO). The native of San Antonio dropped 28 points, on 9-of-21 shooting. She poured it in from long-distance connecting on another 7 triples. She added 6 rebounds and 3 assists as the Lions came up short against the USAO 76-67.
  • During that two-game stretch, Rich averaged 33.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.0 APG. She shot 21-48 from the field (48%) while connecting on 14 shots from behind the arc.

  • Rich is averaging 20.3 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 3.1 APG and 1.3 SPG on the season.
  • Rich ranks 4 th nationally in three-pointer made (3.39) per game and 6 th in the nation in scoring (20.6).
  • This is the first SAC Player of the Week honor for Rich this season and her fourth in her career.
