Game One (L 3-0)
In the bottom of the third, SAGU’s defense was able to get out of a jam after TWU loaded the bases with no outs. In the next inning, TWU scored one run off of two hits.
The Lady Rams scored two more runs in the bottom of the sixth after two errors.
SAGU’s Rachel Ray pitched all six innings. Ray had three strike outs.
TWU’s Justine Cielinski pitched all seven innings and had five strike outs.
The Lady Lions only had two hits, one from Brittany Livingston and one from Bailey Balloun .
Game Two (L 11-1)
TWU beat SAGU in four and a half innings in game two. SAGU’s lone run of the day was scored in the top of the second when Bailey Balloun singled through the left side, scoring Kristin Stringer . TWU outhit SAGU 10-3.
SAGU’s Hannah Lee pitched two and two/thirds innings and Adrianna Barnes came in relief for the final one and one third innings.
On Saturday, March 8, 2017, SAGU will host Southwestern Christian University . The first game of the doubleheader begins at 1pm. SCU is currently 9-22 for the season.
