Waxahachie, Texas – November 18, 2016 – Karen F. Norton, Christian author and mother of former Missionary Jamie Norton Lund, will be releasing her newest book, “ Mom, God’s Got This ” on November 29, 2016.

“Mom, God’s Got This” highlights Jamie’s journey through accepting God’s call to ministry in Northern Asia and her victories as a dedicated woman of God even through her battle with breast cancer which would eventually take her home to be with the Lord in 2012. Through the eyes of a loving mother, the book also describes Karen’s journey as she travels from mourning to joy, all the while trusting in a loving Heavenly Father and His faithfulness.

“Jamie fulfilled God’s purpose for her life,” Norton said. “She served God, she obeyed God even when she didn’t understand where He was leading her.”

Jamie Norton, a 1998 SAGU graduate, followed God’s call to Northern Asia as a single woman. She later married SAGU alumnus, Danny Lund, and together they served the Lord in a small university in the mountains of Northwest China.

Norton started writing the book in January of 2014. However, for Norton, this experience proved to be quite difficult as she had to relive the many memories of Jamie’s life and death. After taking some time off from the book and after “Connections,” a daily devotional that Norton self-published later that year, she felt ready to continue Jamie’s book.

Ultimately, Norton said that she believes Jamie’s story is a testament of God’s faithfulness and His grace. It is an encouragement for young adults today to pursue God’s call and fearlessly endeavor to fulfill His plan for their lives. Also, Norton said that it is an example of how God walks with us through grief and helps to bring us through.
