Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s soccer University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma

The Lions got off to a solid start with the way they handled the ball amongst the entire field. USAO made the first goal in the game sending the Lions hungry to the bench at halftime, 1-0.

USAO would ultimately score two more goals in the second half causing the final score to be in USAO’s favor, 3-0.

Assistant Coach Ceaser Espana stated, “The game began to slip out of our hands after a lack of communication, causing our goalkeeper and center back to collide. This collision caused our center back to be taken out of play for the rest of the game. Overall, our own mistakes put us behind on the scoreboard. We walk away from this game with our heads held high and we look forward to our next game on Saturday.”

The Lions will be returning to the field at 3 P.M., Saturday, October 14 th , 2017 to play Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma.
