Waxahachie, Texas- November 21, 2015- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s soccer team’s season officially came to an end in the first round of the National Christian College Athletic Association’s (NCCAA) Central Regional Tournament. The Lions lost 2-0 to Dallas Baptist University .
Earlier in the season, the Lions topped DBU 1-0 with a game-winning goal by Robert Ambrosie . In Friday’s game, the Lions weren’t able to come out on top.
SAGU finished the season with their winningest record in program history, going 9-10-1. This season, Robert Ambrosie scored 18 goals. Ambrosie ended nationally ranked in the NAIA in six categories. He was ranks no. five in game winning goals (six) and no. 12 in total goals scored (18).
On Saturday, November 21, 2015, Dallas Baptist University will take on Southwestern Christian University at 1:30pm. This will be the championship game of the Central Regional Championship.
