Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s soccer team was on the road for their second away game in three days, as they matched up against John Brown University (JBU). The Lions jumped out to an early lead off the foot of Jadhel Hill in the 31st minute, from there they were able to maintain the lead and take it into halftime (1-0). Goalie Julio Guevara was put to the test in the second half, within the first two minutes of the start he had two saves but in the 59th minute JBU was able to tie things up 1-1. A red card on the Lions changed the momentum of the game, and JBU was able to take advantage in the 80th minute to close out the game 2-1. The Lions will be back in action Friday, March 26th to take on Central Christian College.
