Abilene, Texas- March 16, 2016- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) baseball dropped a game to McMurry University 15-3.  The contest was supposed to be nine innings but was run-ruled in the seventh.  This game makes win number 15 in a row for the War Hawks.  SAGU is currently 9-19.

McM quickly got six hits and eight runs in the first inning alone.

In the top of the fourth, SAGU’s Maverick Keffer singled to right center. Jake Killian singled and then was able to advance and score Keffer after a War Hawks error.

In the top of the seventh, Tallon Ralstin doubled to left center, starting a small rally for the Lions. Jake Payonk grounded out to first, advancing Ralstin.  Ralstin was then able to score after an error by McM.  Next, Eric Hagstrom scored singled, scoring Griffin Glenn.

For the Lions, Sal Rico, Jake Clary, Auston Moore, Anthony Montalvo and Caleb Carnell all pitched.

Ralstin was one for one with a double and one run scored.  Maverick Keffer was three for four with one run scored.

On Wednesday, March 16, 2016, SAGU will host Manhatten College for a nine inning game.  The game will be played on campus with a start time of 2pm.
