The Lions had overall ball possession more than Bacone throughout the game.  Both teams had six shots on goal.  SAGU freshman Mazvita Chidarara made a goal 15 minutes into the second half.

The game ultimately went into overtime where Bacone scored, causing the outcome of the game to be 2-1.

Assistant Coach Caesar Espana stated, “This was a very well-played game by both teams across the board.  We put up a strong fight but Bacone capitalized.   The game was played to final minutes and then some. Overall, both teams played great soccer and gave those who came to watch a good show.

The Lions will be playing Central Christian College on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 6:30 pm in McPherson, Ks.
