Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s soccer Southwestern College
The Lions attacked early and they attacked often. The first goal was scored by Renato Martin just five minutes into the game. Less than five minutes later, Bryan Callejas scored again.
Near the 19 minute mark, Miguel Torres scored his third goal of the season after using some fancy footwork to dribble past one defender as well as the goalie.
Bonia Valasquez scored SAGU’s next two goals, one with 20 minutes left in the first half and the next twenty minutes into the second half.
Juan Hererra-Perla scored the final goal with 15 minutes left in the game.
SAGU is now 2-0-1 for the season.
On Thursday, September 8, 2016 the Lions will host East Texas Baptist University . The Tigers are currently 2-0 for the season. SAGU Sports Network will be broadcasting the game live.
