The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s basketball team defeats Ecclesia College for their third 100+ scoring game of the year. The Lions are 4-0 after a 113-79 win over Royals behind five players in double figures.

Josh Kashila (25), Darian Davis (18), Nyk Mason (18), and Mitch McMullen (17) all land in double-digits and shot over 50% from the field. In 25 minutes, Davis put together five rebounds, two assists, and one steal to go along with his 18 points. Mason had a double-double with 11 rebounds, two assists, and one steal on the win. McMullen had a career night against the Royals for a near double-double in points and assists (7), he also had five rebounds and five steals. Cameron McGee had his season high on the night with 13 points to pump his average up to 6.75 ppg. The Lions only had eight turnovers on their fourth win which is a season-low for a 2.1 assist-TO ratio. They converted 19 assists on 46-89 shooting from the field for 51.7%.

The Lions will be off for eight days before they face Texas College (TC) for the second time of the season. SAGU defeated the Steers on November 3rd, 81-65 in Tyler, TX . TC is playing better each week after losing to Sooner Athletic Conference members Langston University by five and Texas Wesleyan University by 11 less than a week ago. The rematch will be in Waxahachie this time 11/20 at 7 pm where they will look to extend their undefeated record.
