Junior guard, Lexi Rich has been named Sooner Athletic Conference and NAIA women’s basketball player of the week for December 24-30. The native from San Antonio, TX , averaged 26.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists during their undefeated performance at the St. Thomas Classic in Houston, TX . She had a season-high of 33 points against Gosher College during their first game of the tournament and 20 the next against Philander Smith College for a total of 53 points while shooting 41.7 percent from three and hitting 100% from the free-throw line. This is Rich’s second 30 point game performance this season and third as a Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lion. For the 2018-2019 campaign, she ranks fourth nationally for total 3-pt field-goals made with 42 and 3-pt field goals made per game (3.50), 6th in free-throw percentage (91.4), 15th in points per game with 18.00, 23rd with 216 total points, 28th with 4.25 assists per game, and 29th with 51 total assists. Her and the Lady Lions will be back in action tomorrow night at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX for a 6 pm tipoff.
