Waxahachie, TX- Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Softball team opened up their season against Ecclesia last night winning both games, they looked to do the same today in the second day of the ser-ies. The Lady Lions (2-0) were able to sweep both games of the doubleheader for the second day in a row. The score of the first game was 8-0 and the second game score was 10-2.

  • Rosie Guadarrama (JR/ Cushing, TX) led the Lady Lions defensively with 7 putouts
  • Airiana Magdaleno (JR/ Cedar Hill, TX) went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s and one run scored  
  • Ashlyn Teran (JR/ College Station, TX) added 2 RBI’s going 1-3
  • Madelynn Bernabe (FR / Atascocita, TX) recorded 5 strikeouts in 4 innings pitched.
  • SAGU recorded 11 hits, with 0 errors

  • The Lions will be back in action Tuesday February 16th (DH) against Texas A&M - San Antonio. Start time is scheduled for 1:00pm
