Dallas, Texas- November 14, 2015- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University women’s basketball team topped Dallas Christian College , 65-30.  The Lady Lions are now 3-3 for the season.

“Defensively, I thought we did a great job of help defense, scrambling and fighting through things. Our rotations were solid and we played good position defense,” says head coach Tiffany Phillips.

At halftime, the Lady Lions were 31-15.  As a team, SAGU continued the strong free throw shooting, going 25 of 34 (74%) from the free throw line.  The Lady Lions also had 13 team steals.

“I’m looking for a little more aggressive offensive play from our guards,” explains Phillips, “We were 1-18 from the 3 point line today and that’s not typical of our guards. We have to do a better job executing on the offensive side of the floor.”

Junior Charity Page had 16 points and seven rebounds. Laken Ward had 18 points and Dy’Teesha Diggles added 11 points. Taylor Hill had 10 rebounds.
