Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) volleyball Oklahoma Wesleyan University Tournament College of the Ozarks

Oklahoma Wesleyan University W 3-1 (25-14, 25-17, 19-25, 25-19)

SAGU started the day off with an early 8am game.  The Lady Lions were able to top Oklahoma Wesleyan in four sets.  SAGU’s Jessica Sodich and Summer Skillern each had 10 kills.  Sophia Ivy had 34 assists and ten digs. Kali Shaw had 16 digs and Celi Bruce added 12 digs.

College of the Ozarks L 2-3 (22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 10-15)

SAGU was able to push College of the Ozarks to five sets, but in the end, SAGU came up five points short in the final set.  The Lady Lions had three players in double digits for kills. Jessica Sodich had 15 kills, Paulyae Dawkins added 14 kills and Kali Shaw had 11 kills.  Current Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Setter of the Week , Sophia Ivy , had an impressive 53 assists.  SAGU also had three people in digs. Celi Bruce had 26 digs, Jessica Sodich added 22 digs and Shaw added 19 digs.

SAGU has one game scheduled for the last week of August.  The game is on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 7pm.  The opponent is scheduled to be University of St. Thomas-Houston .  The game might be impacted by Hurricane Harvey.  A final word on the game will be decided at a later time.
