Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s soccer LeTourneau University

SAGU Head Coach Paul Hason stated that that his girls endured a hard-fought battle, “Soccer is a game of the law of averages. In other words, ‘We attack, they attack.’ We both had nearly the same amount of chances at making a goal. If we don’t put away our chance, they get a chance to put away theirs. Tuesday, they benefited.”

LeTourneau led 1-0 at the half. During the second half, LeTourneau made another goal. The Lady Lions responded by scoring a goal of their own. This goal was kicked in by SAGU Freshman Lauryn Cabudol .

Coach Hason was content with the outcome of this game. “They were great opponents. Both teams battled it out to the last second. They gave us the challenge that we came looking for. We want to play against solid teams. We are striving for greatness and teams like LeTourneau give us challenges to overcome. Games like today are only equipping us for the Sooner Athletic Conference.”

The Lady Lions are looking forward to their next game back on their home turf. They will be playing Texas College on Monday, September 11 th at 2:00 P.M.
