The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s basketball team won their fourth game of the season after shooting 73.3% from the field against Jarvis Christian on Saturday. The Lady Lions also knocked down 13 of their 16 3’s for 81.3% behind their 49 point win, 84-35. SAGU played well defensively not allowing any of the JCC Bulldogs to get into double-figures and holding the team to less than 25% shooting from the floor.

The Lady Lions had four players with 10 or more points in Lexi Rich (10), Jenna Price (12), Sydney Meador (12), and Mckenzie Martin (18) . SAGU had an impressive 32 offensive rebounds on the win with six of them coming from Price and five from Meador. Rich had six of the Lady Lions 13 assists which was 10 more than the Bulldogs.

This is their third win in a row before conference play starts for the 2018-2019 season. During this winning streak over Texas College, Dallas Christian College , and Jarvis Christian they have won by an average margin of 38 points. Their next game will be against Sooner Athletic Conference member John Brown University . The tipoff Thursday night will begin at 6 pm in Waxahachie against the 5-0 Golden Eagles.
