The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s basketball team opened up their season in Dallas, TX , at Paul Quinn College on Saturday. The Lady Lions were led by Sydney Meador and Jenna Price as Meader had 15 points and Price had 11 points in their 57-68 loss. The Tigers are now 2-0 on the 2018-2019 season after the game November 4th.

Price was 3-11 from the floor and 5-6 from the free throw line with five rebounds and three steals. Meador was 4-12 and 6-6 from the line with three steals, three rebounds, one steal, and one block. DyTeesha Diggles led the Lady Lions with eight rebounds and Kiara Glenn led the way with four assists. Lexi Rich and Mckenzie Martin chipped in nine points each during the game. The Lady Lions had more assists and fewer turnovers which will be good to build off of for their non-conference test on November 6th.  They also had four total blocks which is in the top 10 nationally as the 2018-2019 season tips off.

Game two for SAGU will Tuesday night against Arlington Baptist University . The Lady Lions will look to get win one at 4 pm in Waxahachie against the Patriots.


Southwestern Assemblies of God University is a private, Christian university located 30 minutes south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Waxahachie, Texas.
