Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Player-of-the-Week Southwestern Assemblies of God University’s Jessica Sodich SAC Hitter-of-the-Week

Sodich, a senior from Arlington, Texas , averaged 5.67 kills over a 15-game span where SAGU finished with a 3-1 mark.

Her season high, so far, comes from a five-set game against Sterling College where Sodich had 34 kills.  That performance tied the SAGU kills in a game record from back in 2007.  In that match against SC, she hit for .443.  Sodich also added 19 digs against Sterling too.  In a win over Friends University she had 26 kills and hit .575.

“Jessica had a great week,” explains SAGU Head Coach Hank Moore , “I’m so happy for her and she is making the most of every opportunity given to her. She has brought about a can do attitude that has impacted our entire program.”

Last week, SAGU sophomore Sophia Ivy earned the SAC Setter-of-the-Week honor.  The Lady Lions are currently 7-1.  Their next game is against Texas Wesleyan University on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.  Game time is at 7pm.
