Forward, Heriberto Diaz has been named to the Sooner Athletic Conference Second Team for the 2018-2019 season. Diaz is a 5’7 freshman from Ferris, TX , who is no stranger to scoring when needed, he graduated his senior year being 3rd for goals scored in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area with 22 goals. This season he was not far behind that mark with 18 goals and five games with at least two goals. October 23rd he had a career day for the Lions with a hat-trick and an assist for a conference win over Bacone College . On top of his 18 goals, he had five assists for a total of 41 points on the season. This lands the freshman ranked amongst the nation’s leaders in total goals (14th), goals per game (19th), total points (20th), and points per game (29th).
