Waxahachie, Texas – September 16, 2015 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) assistant professor Dr. Jeff Logue partnered with Midlothian ISD and offered a faculty training workshop for teachers at J.R. Irvin Elementary

Dr. Logue discussed the importance of developing a "Legendary Mission Statement" for faculty, staff and administration. He said, "The school principal wanted to conclude the workshop with at least one mission statement. At the end of the work shop, we had five mission statements and they were able to vote on the one that best fit the personality of their organization." He added, "The work shop not only met expectations, but exceeded them."

Dr. Logue’s presentation focused on how an effective mission statement promotes organizational unity, reduces bias and promotes campus health and safety. During his presentation, faculty broke up into small groups of four or five and worked together to create mission statements specific to their small group. Statements mirrored the unique beliefs, values and passions of each group.

By the end of the workshop, faculty learned how to collaborate together with administration and develop a mission statement that reflects a passion for serving the children of Midlothian, Texas.

Dr. Logue holds a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Counseling from SAGU, a master's degree in Counseling/Psychology from SAGU and a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Dr. Logue is the program director of the Undergraduate Counseling degree at SAGU, a Texas Board Approved LPC Supervisor and was named one of the Top 99 Professors in 2013 by Mastersincounseling.org. Dr. Logue is an experienced educator, researcher, public speaker and clinician.
