Waxahachie, TX – Thursday, November 8, 2023 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) is delighted to announce its 15th Annual Christmas at SAGU celebration. This joyous event will take place on the front lawn of the historic Farmer Administration building (1200 Sycamore St.) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27th.
We cordially invite the entire community to join us in this festive celebration that embodies the spirit of unity and joy during the holiday season.
This year’s celebration promises to be a grand event with a mesmerizing Christmas light display accompanied by live Christmas music. Attendees can look forward to delightful activities such as taking pictures with Santa, enjoying homemade treats and holiday beverages, decorating ornaments, and embarking on hayrides and train rides. Sponsors will include Provider Contract Food Service, Geico in Desoto, Assemblies of God Credit Union and Southwestern Women’s Auxiliary. We gratefully acknowledge our community sponsors for this year’s event, and are pleased to continue our partnership with Specialized Landscaping Services for the installation of the campus lighting.
The primary goal of Christmas at SAGU is to foster a sense of community between Waxahachie and the SAGU campus while spreading the joy and excitement of the Christmas season. The campus will be beautifully lit, offering a captivating sight for all who attend.
This annual tradition began in 2009 when the SAGU community desired to partake in the holiday cheer that envelops Waxahachie during the Christmas season. The event also aims to bring Christmas cheer to our students, providing a respite and source of enjoyment in the weeks following Thanksgiving and leading up to finals.
