Waxahachie, Texas -Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU)  recently held its bi-annual  Campus Days event on October 27-28th, 2022.

Campus Days is an event hosted by the University each semester to showcase the SAGU campus to prospective students and their families. Activities include an academic fair, block party, basketball game, late-night worship, and a live-class experience. Prospective students can spend the night in one of our nationally-ranked dorms and eat in the “Caf”. Parents and students can also attend chapel and a Q&A panel of SAGU’s coaches, faculty, and staff. Themes range from financial aid to degree plan options to campus life. Each Campus Days event also presents an opportunity for a prospective student to win a $4,000 scholarship.

Despite the inclement weather, this semester’s Campus Days was full of fun activities that did not disappoint. Prospective students and their families enjoyed the usual festivities in addition to a SAGU-style Texas snowstorm basketball game. Faculty, staff, and students enjoyed welcoming and interacting with Campus Days guests. Attendee Alyssa Roberts received the Fall 2022 Campus Days $4,000 scholarship.

Many students solidify their decision to attend SAGU after attending a Campus Days event. Joshua Martin, Dean of Admissions, says, “Campus Days is one of the best ways to experience SAGU. Nothing compares to first-hand exposure to campus life, students and faculty, and the spiritual atmosphere. I never tire of watching our prospective students and their families experience what it means to be a part of the SAGU family.”

High school students and prospective students up to age 23 can experience a Campus Days event with their families during our Spring 2023 Campus Day event, taking place on March 30th-31st 2023.
