Provider Contract Food Service will become the exclusive campus food service starting Summer of 2022.

SAGU is pleased to announce that Provider Contract Food Service has been chosen to serve the students, faculty, staff, and guests starting Summer 2022.

“We are honored to join Southwestern Assemblies of God University,” said Rodney Couch, Founder and CEO of Provider Contract Food Service.  “We are humbled by the opportunity to transform the campus food service and look forward to supporting Southwestern Assemblies of God University’s mission to equip students spiritually, academically, professionally, and cross-culturally for their God-given careers and callings.”

Known for its chef-driven culinary programs, Provider will introduce its ‘Small Plates’ concept to The Caf in an All-You-Care-To-Eat format. Modeled after Spanish Tapas, Provider’s signature presentation of restaurant quality, small-plates encourage guests to explore and experience a variety of foods in smaller, healthier portions. A variety of meal plan options will be available for Residential Students, Commuters, as well as Faculty, and Staff.

Additionally, Provider is excited to introduce programming changes that will expand meal plans through Meal Swipe Options at all three campus dining locations; The Café, Lion’s Den, and Einsteins Bros Bagels. Meal Swipe Options are typically designed to look like a meal one would receive at a favorite restaurant: an entree, sides, and a beverage, and can be purchased using a meal swipe from the meal plan program.

“We are excited to see what Provider will bring to our campus,” says Dr. Fred Gore, SAGU Vice President for Business & Finance. “They have exhibited throughout the selection process that they understand SAGU and its students and are committed and capable of bringing a great dining experience to our campus. I know our students will be very pleased with our food service when they return this fall. Provider has already shown us in the few short weeks they have been at SAGU that we’ve made a great choice in partnering with them. Feedback from our summer camps on the meals served by Provider has been enthusiastically positive.”

Decorated with awards, Provider is proud to be recognized as the number five “Best College Food in the Nation” according to Niche and the number one contractor-operated program in the nation. Provider’s Culinary team are masters at creating superior dining events. SAGU looks forward to the student’s return to try this new experience first-hand.
