Waxahachie, Texas - February 14, 2012 - Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Career Services hosted its annual Dress for Success event on Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

“It was such a wonderful opportunity to partner with local businesses,” shares SAGU Director of Career Services Beverly Robinson. "We are so appreciative of them helping us educate our students about the do’s and don’ts of interview and professional attire for the workplace.”

Dress for success is an opportunity for SAGU students to learn about professional hair care, make up, accessories, ties, shoe shining and more. Robinson educated students on appropriate dress for the workplace and professional interviews.

Event sponsors included local businesses including Belk, Briarpatch, One Fine Day and SAGU Christian Bookstore. Arbonne, Lancome, and One Fine Day representatives advised students before the show on personal care. Students received instruction in nail care, hair care and tie-tying. Also included was chair massages, hand massages, and nail polishes.

SAGU students modeled part-time interview, business casual, business professional and special event attire. The models wore clothing and accessories from the Briarpatch and Belk. Robinson served as announcer during the show, explaining the “Do’s and Don’ts” of appropriate attire. A Q-and-A session and drawings for door prizes followed the show.
