Waxahachie, Texas – September 21, 2015 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) alumnus Brian Dollar released his new book “Talk Now And Later: How To Lead Kids Through Life’s Tough Topics” as a resource that will help parents navigate through the tough conversations in life. The book hit #1 in the Christian Families category on Amazon the first week of its release.

Dollar explained, “The way to pave the way for those big conversations in the future is to have many small conversations (about these tough topics) as your child grows, giving them a little at a time and building the foundation for meaningful conversation later.”

The book equips parents to answer the tough questions that children have so early in their lives due to being exposed to cultural situations such as advertisements and entertainment; with some being contrary to what the Bible teaches.

Through Dollar’s 23 years of Children’s Pastoring and his experience as a father of two children, he shows how parents can successfully lead their children through the hard topics like sex, self-Image, death, bullying, divorce, and more.

In 1995, Dollar graduated from SAGU with a bachelor’s degree in Church Ministries. He served at The Oaks Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, from 1992-1999 and works currently at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Under his leadership, the children’s ministry at First Assemblies of God has grown from an average weekly attendance of 200 to an average attendance of over 600 children with a volunteer staff of over 150.

Dollar is the founder of High Voltage Kids Ministry Resources and produces curriculum and media resources that have been used in over 5,000 churches worldwide.

He is the author of, “I Blew It!: The Biggest Mistakes I’ve Made in Kids’ Ministry… and How You Can Avoid Them” a KidMin Leadership book that helps others avoid the biggest mistakes in Kids’ Ministry.

Brian and his wife, Cherith, have a daughter, Ashton, and a son, Jordan. They currently reside in Little Rock, Arkansas.
