WAXAHACHIE, Texas  --  No. 4 ranked Southwestern Assemblies of God University, liberally utilizing sixteen players, rolled to an 80-56 non-conference triumph over Ecclesia College.

Everyone played at least five minutes and all but one of the Lions scored.

Caleb Feemster (Addison, Tx / Trinity Christian-Addison, Ranger College), a starter at forward, was intentionally held out for a second consecutive game to rest an injury. The team already clinched the Sooner Athletic Conference last week.

The Lions played three units throughout the game to lift their overall record to 24-4. Ecclesia (ECK-less-see-ya), from Springdale, Arkansas, slipped to 6-18.

SAGU won the first meeting between the teams a month ago, 107-76.

The Royals began their men's basketball program in 2002. This is the first season they have a fulltime head coach. Ecclesia has played a schedule full of team from the NAIA and NCAA Division 2.

Six games have been against members of the Sooner Athletic Conference.

Thursday is the final home game of the season. No. 23 ranked St. Gregory’s University (20-7) will visit for an 8:00pm contest. It will be broadcast in HD on the SAGU Sports Network.

The Lions will wrap up the regular season on Saturday against John Brown University (19-9). Fans can watch the action on JBU's free video livestream.

The two games will serve as excellent tune-ups for next week's SAC tournament. It will be held during March 5-8 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

A complete review of tonight's game, including statistics and action photos, will be posted later tonight.
