basketball-in-kcWAXAHACHIE, Texas  --  No. 3 Southwestern Assemblies of God University overcame a quality opponent in nationally ranked Mid-America Christian University (Ok), 82-77, on Saturday evening in the Sheaffer Center.

The contest was tied six times and had seven lead changes until the Lions went in front for good, 54-53, with 11:33 remaining. Dominique Rambo (Dallas, Tx / Trinity Chr CH, Ok Wesleyan Univ ) swished two foul shots to give the Purple Pride the upper hand.

They would never lose the lead, eventually establishing a 77-66 advantage at the 1:52 mark on a Rambo three-pointer.

Two days after pouring in 40 at Oklahoma Baptist University, the 5-10 senior finished with 32 points. He was credited with seven assists and seven steals.

Six-foot-six, junior forward Caleb Feemster (Addison, Tx / Trinity Chr-Addison, Ranger College ) added four triples en route to a 20-point game. He has reached double-figures in nine of ten games, twice netting twenty or more.

He is making 41% of his attempts at three-pointers. His 2.9 treys per game ranks 13th in the NAIA.

MACU entered the game with a 3-0 mark in the Sooner Athletic Conference - their best start ever. The Evangels were held well under their 99 points per game average.
