WAXAHACHIE, Texas  --  Southwestern Assemblies of God University dropped both ends of a Tuesday afternoon softball doubleheader. The SAGU baseball team also fell in a single game.

Northwood University (Tx) routed the Lady Lions, 15-2, in the softball opener to improve their record to 6-19. Three of the wins came at SAGU's expense.

The second contest was a pitcher's duel that remained tied, 3-3, before going to extra innings. The visiting Knights completed the sweep by erupting for four runs in the eighth to win the game, 7-3.

The Lady Lions slipped to their 13th straight loss. They are now 6-26 overall and 1-17 against teams in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The games were played on campus.

Northwood is 8-19 and 5-3.

The Baseball Lions took it on the chin against Jarvis Christian College (Tx). Trailing 3-0 in the fifth inning the Lions surrendered back-to-back four-run frames en route to an 11-1 setback. 

The contest took place at the Waxahachie Sports Complex.

SAGU is now 14-17. Jarvis improved to 17-10.
