SAGU swept a doubleheader on campus, 9-4 and 12-4 over Texas College. A review of the games will be posted this weekend.

The team then departed for a 402-mile trip to Hobbs, New Mexico. The Lady Lions, 3-1, will play a four game series this weekend against the University of the Southwest. The Lady Mustangs are 4-2.

SAGU and USW will play a doubleheader on Friday that starts at 1:00pm. They have another twinbill on Saturday. It is scheduled to begin at noon.



The Lions, 5-3, will host two doubleheaders against Wiley College (0-1) on Friday and Saturday. All four games will be played on campus with the action beginning at noon on both days.



No. 5 ranked Oklahoma Baptist University (22-3 / 14-1 in SAC) looked every bit as real as advertised in a 77-48 triumph over the SAGU Lady Lions (12-13 / 6-9 in SAC). OBU led at the half, 41-25.

SAGU plays in Oklahoma City on Saturday when they clash with Mid-America Christian University (14-10 / 8-7 in SAC) at 3:00pm (CST).

The Lions, No. 5 in the NAIA, outlasted Oklahoma Baptist University, 69-61, in men's hoops. SAGU (21-3 / 13-2 in SAC) overcame a 13-point first half deficit to take their first lead, 42-40, with 14:37 to play.

SAGU trailed 51-49 with ten minutes left, and were tied, 55-55, before winning the defensive battle with a 14-6 closing surge.

The Lions have a huge contest against second place MACU (14-7 / 10-5 in SAC) on Saturday at 5:00pm.  The Evangels are ranked No. 14.
