SAGU sports update: September 24, 2013Waxahachie, Texas — September 24, 2013 — Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) volleyball team moved into first place in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) by defeating Southwestern Christian University in three sets; 25-15, 25-19, and 25-23. 

The Lady Lions will host Wiley College on Tuesday, September 24 at 7 p.m. in the Sheaffer Center gymnasium.

SAGU football defeated Haskell University, 19-8, in Lawrence, Kansas, on Saturday, September 21. They play Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas, on Saturday, September 28.

SAGU men's and women's soccer travel to Victoria, Texas, to play University of Houston, Victoria, on Thursday, September 26. Their next home game is Saturday, September 28, against Oklahoma City University.

SAGU cross-country will travel to Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla., on October 12, for their next meet. The East Texas Invitational was canceled due to rain and will be rescheduled for a future date.
