A year ago the Our Lady of the Lake University (27-8) won the regular season men's championship but fell in the final to LSU-Shreveport (27-8), 111-101. Texas Wesleyan University (25-8) was granted an at-large berth, joining OLLU and LSUS in the NAIA Nationals. It was the sixth consecutive conference tournament title for the Pilots.

For the sixth straight season the Langston University Lady Lions (30-4) wore the women's regular season crown. They were upset by #4 seed Our Lady of the Lake (26-8), 88-80, who then rose up and surprised #2 LSU-Shreveport (25-9) in the finals, 76-73. All three teams received invitations to the NAIA tourney.

This winter, over the course of 3+ months, it was the SAGU (27-3) men and the Wiley College (26-3) women who won the RRAC championship. Who will emerge after a three-day dash?

Sports Information Directors from participating teams will help select an All-Tournament Team, to be announced following the finals. SID's must attend games on at least two of the three days.
