Southwestern Assemblies of God University Alumnus Bryce Jennings Secures #2 Spot in iTunes Jazz Category with Album “Turn Your Eyes”
Waxahachie, Texas – September 21, 2023 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) celebrates the remarkable success of one of its alumni, Bryce Jennings, whose album “Turn Your Eyes” has reached the #2 spot on the iTunes Jazz category.
Bryce Jennings, a SAGU graduate (2013), has been making waves in the Jazz scene with his unique style and soulful renditions. His latest album, “Turn Your Eyes,” has swiftly climbed the iTunes jazz charts, securing the #2 spot – a testament to his incredible talent and the warm reception from music lovers worldwide.
This has been an incredibly surreal and humbling experience! I felt God drop this project on my heart in the fall of 2022. Through some encouragement and support from family and friends, I decided to take the plunge and hit the recording studio in the summer of 2023. I am incredibly humbled and honored by the love and support that is continuing to be shown by family, friends, and fans that I haven’t had the privilege of meeting yet!
On Friday, September 8th, SAGU hosted an album release concert where Bryce performed all of the albums from his track. In attendance were the former and current music faculty, as well as current SAGU students and alumni.
“Turn Your Eyes” is an album composed of 11 tracks that reflect Bryce’s personal journey, resonating with listeners and jazz enthusiasts alike. The title track, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus,” a jazz cover, showcases Bryce’s innovative approach to the genre.
