Waxahachie, Texas – November 4, 2016 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) was recently recognized by Accredited Schools Online in a list of ” Best Online Colleges ” for 2016.

Accredited Schools Online says the schools listed on their annual ranking have “demonstrated excellence when it comes to online learning, giving their student bodies the best combinations of course volume, academic quality, and resources inside the virtual classroom.” A very specific cost metric is used to determine the rankings and inclusion in the list.

Many factors are considered when compiling this list. Criteria for inclusion include cost of tuition, student-to-faculty ratio and the percentage of students receiving financial aid. SAGU is rated with a score of 92.5 out of a possible 100. The university holds a 19 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio, representing the availability of professors to students. Over three-fourths of students attending SAGU receive some form of financial aid while approximately half of the student body receive institutional scholarships or grants.

SAGU offers nearly 60 online associates, bachelors, and masters degrees and programs through distance education.
