Waxahachie, Texas- March 28, 2016- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) softball team dropped two games to the no. two ranked team in the nation.  The Lady Lions (4-24)lost to Oklahoma City University ( 34-1 overall, 9-1 Sooner Athletic Conference), 0-15 and 0-16.

Game one was run ruled in the fifth inning.  For SAGU, Hannah Lee started on the mound and pitched two innings. Kaitlyn Canales pitched one and one/third innings and Ashley Abair finished up with one and two/third innings.  Abair gave up zero hits for the Lady Lions.

In the first game alone, OCU blasted three home runs.

In game two, SAGU’s Ashley Abair started on the mound and pitched five and two/third inning. Kaitlyn Canales finished the final one/third inning.

OCU’s pitcher, Leslie Miller , went two for three with three runs and two RBI’s.  Two of Millers hits were home runs.

The Lady Lions will host St. Gregory’s University (19-3) on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.  SGU is currently ranked no. four in the NAIA.
