SAGU Half Marathon & 5k

The Annual SAGU Half Marathon is considered one of the fastest courses in North Texas. 85% of the 13.1 trek is on flat ground that covers a good portion of the City of Waxahachie. The course starts and finishes on the beautiful campus of Southwestern Assemblies of God University and plays host to many of the fastest collegian marathoners in pursuit of qualifying for the NAIA National Outdoor Track Championships in May. Our USATF Certified course will see much more national men's and women's qualifiers this year and hope you will shoot for a PR with them.

Our goal is to provide an amazing racing experience all the while keeping the price down. All participants receive a finisher's shirt and a custom 3' finisher's medal for the low price of $50! The proceeds from the SAGU Half go towards supporting the Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track Programs at Southwestern Assemblies of God University.

Chip timing is required to be eligible for awards. No duplicate awards given.

How to Wear Your Bib

Wear your race bib on the FRONT of your shirt or shorts so that race officials and finish line personnel can see it. Do not cut or fold your number in any way or place a safety pin in the perforated tag. Officials must be able to see your whole number to know that you are an officially registered runner.

Important Timing Tag Instructions

• ChronoTrack B-Tag timing tags will be attached to back of your bib for timing
• Do NOT remove the timing tags from your bib
• You MUST wear your bib on the most outer layer of clothing. Do not cover your bib
• Your bib must be clearly visible and worn on the front side of your body Do NOT fold your bib

There will be no official “gear check” but runners are welcome to leave personal items, at their own risk, in the campus designated race day location-Barnes Student Center.

SAGU is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

The SAGU Half MARATHON and 5K will start on intersection of Highland Ave and Parking Lot M on campus. **The official start time is 7:00am for the 5k and 7:10am for the Half Marathon**
