Join your hosts for an exciting trip through Israel. Your hosts will take you on a biblical, historical, and geographical journey through the Holy Land.

Credit Hours Offered

Credit is offered at the graduate and undergraduate levels as a 3-hour course. A 50% tuition discount is available for SAGU students taking this for credit. These Special Studies courses are offered for the Spring Semester and you may pre-register for them in November as follows: SSS – BIBLICAL BACKGROUNDS OF ISRAEL (Graduate: SSS 3713 / Undergraduate: SSS 5713).


President Kermit Bridges, D.Min.

President Kermit Bridges great desire is to help students, alumni and friends experience the Land of the Bible and gain greater scriptural, historical, and cultural insight. He draws from significant first-hand experience, having led multiple tours to Israel, Italy, Greece and Egypt.

Dr. Larry Hester

Dr. Larry Hester, SAGU Professor of Pastoral Ministries, is no stranger to leading Biblical Tours, having served as host on the last 16 SAGU tours to Biblical destinations. Before joining SAGU’s faculty, Dr. Hester was the senior pastor of First Assembly of God, Batow, Florida.

  • Day 3: Sea of Galilee, Boat Ride, Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, Magdala, Nof Ginosar, Jordan River
  • Day 4: Bethsaida, Tel Dan, Lebanon Border, Caesarea Philippi, Banias Falls, Golan Heights, Valley of Tears, Dolmens, Peace Overlook
  • Day 5: Beit Shean, Megiddo, Mount Carmel, Caesarea Maritima
  • Day 6: Yad Vashem, Shring of the Book Museum, Bethlehem
  • Day 7: Jewish Quarter, Caiaphas' House, Davidson Center, Dome of the Rock, Wailing Wall
  • Day 8: Jericho, Qumran, Masada, Dead Sea
  • Day 9: Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Old City, Cardo, Via Dolorosa, Holy Sepulchre, Garden Tomb, Farewell Dinner
  • Day 10: Return to U.S.
