Professor Ellie Gates is an Assistant Professor of Business bringing over 20 years of industry experience to the classroom. She is the program coordinator for the Management and Human Resources Programs.

Industry Experience:

Professor Gates built her career in high tech a rising leader and senior executive in People & Culture (formerly known as Human Resources). Her industry experience, spans work in large global high-tech companies such as Adobe, Microsoft, T-Mobile, and Verizon to smaller startups such as Snowflake, Omniture and Box. She has coached, and developed hundreds of leaders across the globe from Australia, China, India, Israel, and Europe through her Management & Leadership programs.

Business Owner:

In addition to teaching she & her husband are entrepreneurs and owners of Lone Star Business Coaching, an ActionCOACH Franchise. They work with emerging and successful business leaders to help them grow their business to provide greater life options and wealth to fund the Kingdom.

Fun Facts:

She has been married to Ken for over 25 years and they have three wonderful kids, all teenagers attending Waxahachie High School: A Senior, Junior and Sophomore (Grant 17, Josh, 16, and McKayla 15). She has recently completed her M.A. in Bible & Theology as well.
