Daren felt a call to ministry when he was attending Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He earned a bachelors degree in Pastoral Ministries, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.  

He has worked in the business sector in management at two different banks.  Daren served as an Assembly of God missionary in Latin America for 13 years. During that time he was the director of Child Hope Guatemala, which has helped thousands of children obtain an education who suffer from extreme poverty. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director for Adult & Teen Challenge Dallas,  and has launched multiple micro businesses.  He has been married to his wife Heidi for 22 years and has 3 sons.
