Biography:

Mr. Barry Gordon worked 34 years in global retailing, marketing, E-commerce, and private label credit management. He and his family moved 14 times during his career and spent nine years overseas, living in England, Turkey, Germany and Hawaii. His responsibilities also took him to Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, Japan, Korea, Guam and American Samoa. Mr. Gordon retired from the marketplace in 2003 as a Senior Vice President.

Mr. Gordon was then a full-time professor for nine years at SAGU. He was the business department chair for eight of those years. He is presently an adjunct associate professor of business. Mr. Gordon specializes in management, leadership and global strategic policy. He also maintains a consulting practice in global strategic planning. Mr. Gordon is a long-time member of Gospel Lighthouse Church, Dallas, Texas where he currently serves as chair of the finance committee and plays saxophone in the GLC praise band. He activities include serving on the boards of nonprofit corporations, past president of the economic development corporation board for his community, and newly elected mayor of his city in May 2018.

He and his wife teach Sunday adult bible classes, which they have done for over 20 years. She is the prayer pastor and missions liaison for GLC. They celebrated their 48 ^th wedding anniversary in 2018.
