SAGU is training the next generation of missionaries. That must include a excellent academics as well as exposure to current field practice.

To achieve this, we have implemented a semester abroad. During the field experience, each World Ministry major will spend a semester of “in-context experience.”

How it Works

  • Students study four courses online while abroad: Cross-cultural Ministries and Practices, Strategies for Multi-Ethnic Ministries, Evangelism and Discipleship, and Mentoring and Mobilizing Ministry Leaders.
  • Students converse with other students in other worldwide locations to compare notes about their course progress.
  • Each course is structured to enhance field experience with considerations pertaining to local culture.
