Q: You were picked fifth in the SAC Preseason Poll. Why do you think they have you in the middle of the pack? Is that something you will use as motivation?

A: “Yes, we are motivated to do better. I lost my ace pitcher from last year and most coaches probably feel I’m not as strong.”

Q: What is the key for your team to surpass those expectations?

A: “We work on team and chemistry all the time. The word team takes hard work!

Q: What are the individual and team goals for you and your players?

A: “The goals for the team and myself are to do better and keep moving forward.”

Q: What are some things that you and your team have done in the offseason to improve themselves? (Could be physically, mentally, spiritually)

A: “We have a workout program for the girls and we make it competitive!”

Q: What do you think is the best part of this team? Is it something that is fundamental to the game or is it intangible (heart, perseverance, passion, etc)?

A:” I love the heart of my team. This team likely has the most heart of any team I’ve coached. They are always positive encouraging and lift everyone up.”

Q: What is a successful season in your mind?

A: “Having fun, playing with passion, and WINNING!”

Q: Give us a player/players to watch. It could be a returner due for an impact season, a new recruit, or someone that has shown a lot of growth?

A: “Ashlyn Teran CF/P,  Rosie Guadarama C /LF, Cheyenne Fults 3B.”

Q: Is there a slogan or phrase you have given for your team for this season? If so what is it? If you haven’t thought about it what is a phrase you think defines them?
