Four SAGU student representatives participated in the 2010 Assemblies of God Student Leaders’ Conference, held by the Alliance for Higher Education November 4-7 in Springfield, Missouri. Sixty-three students representing 19 AG-endorsed colleges and universities and eight state universities participated in the third annual conference.

The conference included leadership training sessions; a Q & A with AG General Superintendent George O. Wood, AG General Secretary Jim Bradford and the Alliance team; small group interaction that facilitated relationship building with leaders from other campuses; and a tour of AG National Headquarters in addition to fun activities and a trip to Branson, Missouri.

SAGU students who participated in the conference included Head Resident Assistant Randall Wilber, Head Resident Assistant Chelsea Woodstock, Southwestern Missions Association President Joshua Rodriguez, and Student Congress Vice President Robien Christie.

According to Chelsea Woodstock, “The leadership conference was amazing! I got to hear from the men and women of God that are leading us in the AG and it was encouraging to hear how much they believe in us! It was a joy and privilege to attend a wonderful conference and to meet other young leaders all across the U.S.”

“I was inspired and motivated by the many sessions that were taught by AG Executive leadership,” commented Robien Christie. “The opportunity to meet and talk with Bro. George Wood is an experience that I will not soon forget.”
