Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Volleyball is proud to announce the signing of our very first Graduate transfer student-athlete. Aeriel Horton signed her NAIA Letter of Intent on July 17, 2019, and will join the SAGU Volleyball program this fall.

Upon graduating from Houston Baptist University , where she played four years of Beach Volleyball, the 2015 Waxahachie High graduate decided to return home in order to pursue a Master’s Degree in Psychology from The Harrison Graduate School. Horton was a standout player for Waxahachie where she played for Coach Sandy Faucet.

“I am thrilled to hear that Aeriel will be coming back home to attend SAGU and play volleyball for a strong program and a great coach,” she said.

Hank Moore, SAGU Head Volleyball Coach, is also excited about the announcement, stating, “Aeriel will be a great addition to an already very strong SAGU roster.”

The SAGU Volleyball Program will begin their season in 37 days on August 23 in Ottawa, Kansas in the KCAC Classic Tournament.
