Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s soccer Texas College

“This game was an important game before our conference schedule begins.  We are learning more about each other every game and today we discovered a missing piece of our puzzle,” says head coach Paul Hason .

It took some time before SAGU made their first goal, but once they did, the scoring didn’t let up.  In the 29 th minute, Nadine Jaimes assisted Natalie Solorio in the first goal of the game.  Two minutes later Jaimes scored a goal of her own.  Three minutes after that, Jaimes once again found the back of the net.  It only took a matter of seconds before SAGU’s Solorio scored her second goal of the game as well.

After halftime, Texas College’s K. Hernandez scored the Rams lone goal.

To finish up the game, SAGU’s Solorio, Jaimes and Aliyah Mora each scored a goal within a matter of two minutes.

SAGU’s Gabriella Vargas had six saves in the net, while allowing one goal.

The Lady Lions are currently off to a 5-2 start.  They are tied with last year for the best start in school history.  On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, the Lady Lions will travel to Texas A&M-Texarkana.  TAMT is currently 6-3.
